Ralph Nader's campaign plans to file paperwork to get on Colorado's ballot on Thursday. The independent presidential candidate has already applied for a spot on the ballots of three other states. His campaign said Colorado's relatively low bar for securing a spot on the ballot is one of the nation's most democratic. All Nader has to do is submit a $500 fee along with the names of nine people who would vote for him in the Electoral College should he win the state.
Nader hopes to get approval to be on ballots in 10 states before the end of the month. The campaign said he's on track to be on ballots in more than 40 states before November's election.Election Day is Nov. 4.To vote, you must be registered by Oct. 3.In Colorado, you can register to vote at your county clerk's office or by printing a form from their Web site and mailing it in.
