PhotoVote FAQs
| What is PhotoVote? Each Monday, we will announce a category, such as "Cutest Pet" or "Ultimate Football Fan." Over the next two days, viewers upload their pictures, and on Wednesday our editors select 10 finalists. Viewers will then vote on their favorite. The week's winner is announced every Friday. How Can I Participate? The easiest way to participate is to bookmark the PhotoVote page, and return to the page each Monday to see the week's topic. Then, submit your photograph, view other submissions and vote for your favorite. You could win! How Are Votes Tabulated? Votes are maintained by a content management system. This is not a scientific voting method but total votes cannot be altered or modified by editors. The image with the most votes from across the United States is the winner. What Do I Get If My Photograph Wins? Right now, a pat on the back and recognition! Moving forward, if PhotoVote continues to be popular, we hope to offer up prizes to the winning photographers. More on that coming soon! Can I Look At Past PhotoVote Contest Submissions? Absolutely. All the content is archived on the PhotoVote page. I Uploaded A Picture. Where Is It? Generally, we decline photos that are too small, or cropped with excessive and / or erratic borders. Images of a grapic or sexual nature are not acceptable and will be declined. If you aren't successful the first time in submitting a picture, try again! We have a new contest each week! How Many Photos Can I Submit? We do not limit the number of photos an individual can submit to photovote. However, we make sure when chosing finalists that viewers who have submitted multiple images are not chosen as finalists more than once per contest. |
