17-Year-Old Boy Accused Of Kidnapping Girl

McDonald's Employees Notify Police

POSTED: 11:05 am MDT October 15, 2008

A 17-year-old boy is behind bars, accused of kidnapping a 16-year-old girl, after alert McDonald's employees notified police about a girl who had appeared to be assaulted.

Employees of the McDonald's on Academy Boulevard and Flintridge Drive called police just after 9 p.m. Wednesday, saying that two teens were fighting in the restaurant.

By the time police arrived, the couple was gone, but workers told police that the girl appeared to be taken against her will and may have been assaulted.

Officers investigating the case found the suspect near Fountain Boulevard and Jet Wing Drive. The 16-year-old girl was found in a nearby apartment and released to her father. She had minor injuries and did not require medical attention, police said.

The suspect, who is not being identified because of his age, was booked into the Spring Creek Detention Facility for investigation of second-degree kidnapping, violation of a restraining order, and assault.
