Centennial Man Arrested In Roommate Stabbing

DENVER -- A Centennial man was arrested Sunday for allegedly stabbing and killing one of his roommates and wounding another.Sheriff's deputies said they found the two victims in the back yard of a home on Detroit Street.Anthony D. Reis, 31, and Joshua Goedderz, 24, were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
Reis later died. Goedderz underwent surgery, but his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said.Deputies arrested Stephen J. Zmich, 31, without incident.Criminologists said they found a knife at the scene that they believe was used in the incident.Zmich is being held at the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Detentions Facility on charges of first-degree assault and second-degree murder.
