Tracy Gill Dies In Crash

AURORA, Colo. -- One person was killed in an early-morning hit-and-run in Aurora Thursday and a suspect is under arrest.A suspect was taken into custody after police said he ran from the scene but later returned.The crash, at Parker Road and Quincy Avenue, was reported at 6:10 a.m. and involved three cars and a motor scooter. The scooter driver, Tacy Gill, 51, died at the scene.
The suspect in the crash ran from the scene and police mounted a large-scale search for him in nearby Cherry Creek State Park. He was apprehended when he returned to the scene of the accident.Police said it appeared that Gill was rear-ended and was thrown from his scooter.Billy Jenkins was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide; hit & run involving death; driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and careless driving.Two drivers of the other vehicles sustained minor injuries and the third driver wasn't injured.
