Homeowner Confronts Partygoers After Burglary

BOULDER, Colo. -- Three people were stabbed early Friday after a Boulder homeowner found his residence had been burglarized and he confronted partygoers next door.Police were alerted by Boulder Community Hospital-Balsam, at 3:11 a.m., that two adult stabbing victims had arrived for treatment. A third stabbing victim arrived later and reported that he was involved in the same incident.Investigating officers learned the three men had attended a party at a private residents in the 3000 block of Denton Street and were involved in a fight with a neighbor who came home to find his house burglarized.
Apparently the neighbor thought some of the guests at the party next door might have committed the crime and he went to the party to confront them.Boulder police said they have identified most of those involved in the burglary and subsequent assault but have made no arrests since there are conflicting accounts of what happened.Police will conduct further interviews and await forensic evidence results before determining charges.
