Denver Youth Can Swim for Free

City Waives Youth Rec Center Fees for Summer

Youngsters who are 17 and under can use Denver Recreation centers for free starting June 2.

That is when the Parks and Recreation Department opens its pools.

"Our goal is to give our kids every opportunity to participate in healthy, positive activities throughout the summer," said Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper.

The free swimming offer runs through Saturday, Aug. 16.

Fees will still be charged for special programs and activities that are run by the centers.

Denver residents may locate their nearest recreation center by visiting www.denvergov.org.
