WESTMINSTER, Colo. -- It can be overwhelming for first time moms to walk into a store like Babies 'R Us in Westminster. With so many options from baby bottles to child car seats, which ones are better and what do you really need?A local mom is trying to make it easier for expectant moms with a baby planning service called Sweet Pea Baby Planners."You know, most people are on a budget. They want to make sure they're getting everything they need, and omitting everything not necessary," said April Beach, founder of Sweet Pea Baby Planners.
Beach is a mother of three. Through the years, she's researched and found that with help from other moms, getting ready for that baby to arrive can be a lot less challenging and intimidating."I don't tell moms what to buy. I offer them all of the research, my personal experience, the experience of other moms I've worked with," said Beach."I'm in the buying phase. What do I need for my baby now. It's coming down to three more months what do I need," said expectant mom Beth Roberts.Roberts is about to have a son. She said saving money and not buying items she doesn't need is key for her family."As soon as the baby comes, I'm not going to be working anymore. So having a realistic budget is important to me," said Roberts.Beach said with a little help planning, it can be smoother for first time moms.
