Hudson's DogBlog -- Erin Go Woof!
Chapter 3
March 16, 2007"Erin Go Woof" indeed. I'm so embarrassed. Do I look like an Irish O'Setter to you?!I can't believe Marianne made me wear this silly hat to the news meeting today. I could tell everyone was laughing at me, even though they all said, "Oh, poor Hudson!" and gave me extra pats and hugs. Hey, now that I think about it, maybe that's not so bad after all.
"Sit still and pose for pictures" isn't one of my official CCI commands, but it might as well be, since I get my picture taken so often. I do know 27 real CCI commands, including hurry, kennel, wait, release, sit, down, let's go, drop, here, dress, roll, shake, stand, car, under, heel, side, bed, jump, off, back, lap, up and visit. Aren't you impressed?I still need to learn turn, speak, and out. Marianne says I will learn even more commands at Advanced Training (College), such as pull, push, tug, get, step, light, and switch.I'm not sure I'll be a star student, but it sounds like fun and I hear I'll have playtime several times a day with the trainers, kennel staff, and our classmates. I go to College in May, but Marianne says I don't need to think about it yet. Whew!A Dog's Irish BlessingMay your dog rise up to meet you, with a bark and a wag of the tail. When your day’s journey is over, may the woes of the day be gone. As your faithful companion greets you, eager to welcome your home, May God hold you both in the palm of His hand.
