The PKD Foundation is proud to be involved in the 2008 Denver's 7 Home of Distinction. As the charity partner in this exciting project, the PKD Foundation hopes to raise awareness and funds to help fight polycystic kidney disease (PKD), a genetic disease threatening the lives of more than 10,000 Colorado residents and 12.5 million people worldwide. Through the support of thousands of generous families in the Denver community and beyond, the PKD Foundation hopes to fund nearly $5 million in PKD research in 2008. Several of these projects will take place in Denver alone, where doctors and scientists are hard at work researching possible therapies to treat and cure PKD. Learn more at www.pkdcure.org.
