Scott Mace

Weekday Morning Meteorologist

Scott Mace joined 7News in October of 2004 as Morning Meteorologist.

Scott returned to his home state of Colorado after enjoying 8 years in beautiful Monterey, Calif., where he served as morning meteorologist for KSBW-TV from 1996-2004. While in California, Scott also forecast weather for KCRA-TV in Sacramento.

Scott's television career began behind the camera in 1989 while producing "The Fort Collins Evening News." Then he moved in front of the lens to forecast weather for the Choice City and earned several awards for local environmental reporting.

Scott's move to California landed him at one of the most picturesque spots on Earth: the Monterey Peninsula. He quickly learned the diversity of over 20 distinct microclimates that characterize Central California. Heavy rain, dense fog, huge waves and yes, even local mountain snow! He was also lucky enough to meet his wife, Melanie, who was the local traffic reporter.

A Pueblo native, Scott is delighted to be back in Colorado forecasting weather in one of the most challenging (and beautiful!) spots on Earth.

Scott earned a degree in Journalism from Colorado State University in Fort Collins and a degree in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
