DENVER -- This week’s 7Everyday Hero uses her musical talents to help battle MS. Linda Storey, along with her daughter Jessica, are familiar faces on the local music scene. Linda believes music can move people – especially when it comes from someone with a passion to help others.Linda lives with Multiple Sclerosis, having been diagnosed when she was just 23 years old. MS keeps her from playing her guitar, but she still composes songs and she’s still the leader of the band. She has to use ramps to get up on the stage, but Linda says where there’s a will there’s a way. And you won’t find her complaining. She’s too busy living and working with a non-profit she founded called “CASE”, which stands for “Concerts, Advocacy, Support and Education”.“CASE” organizes concerts to benefit the thousands in Colorado who live with MS. She started CASE as a grassroots movement and has made it into something a lot bigger than that – through coalitions with international artists. They’ve had Chris Daniels and the Kings join them, as well as Nina Storey, Wendy Woo, Melissa Ivy, and Firefall.
Linda is an incredible inspiration and role model for people living with MS.To learn more about Multiple Sclerosis, click here. And to learn more about 7Everyday Hero Linda Storey’s non-profit, click here.
